James Moodie, of Balcurvie, Leven, appeared before Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Moodie (44) admitted that on March 14 at Sandybrae Service Station in Kennoway he drove a vehicle after consuming alcohol, more than seven times the drink-drive limit.

Moodie was found to have 156 microgrammes of alcohol in his breath. The legal limit is 22.

Sheriff Gilchrist called for background reports and disqualified Moodie from driving. He is due back in court for sentencing on November 17.
