Vital funding for groups across Fife to help them after lockdown
Schemes in Kirkcaldy, St Andrews and Dunfermline are among those benefiting from the Scotland Loves Local Fund, which has made in excess of 200 grants nationally to help communities recover from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
In Kirkcaldy, the Kings Theatre secured £25000 of support, while Kinghorn Community Centre got £2000 to create an outside eating area.

Hide AdThe ‘Love Local’ campaign saw £5000 go to Fife Council to promote a campaign in Kirkcaldy, and to St Andrews BID.
Food From Fife got £5000 to promote the region’s existing retailers and producers.
The funding aims to support small-scale improvements to promote and enhance places while helping motivate people to shop, eat and relax in their community and ensuring public safety.
Aileen Campbell MSP, Scotland’s Communities Secretary said: “Over the festive season and beyond, I want to encourage our communities to ‘love local’ and remind everyone that money spent locally is more likely to stay in the local economy and support local jobs.”

Hide AdThe fund is being administered by Scotland’s Towns Partnership as part of its work to spearhead the Scotland Loves Local campaign.
Phil Prentice, chief officer, said: “We’re delighted that this funding will bring some brilliant projects across Fife to life.
“We hope these grants will be a great Christmas present to all those benefiting as we encourage everyone to safely support their local businesses however they can during the critical festive shopping period.”
